The latest evidence of Statistical Office of Slovenia shows that Ljubljana has from year to year more tourists - in the first place after a visit and overnight stays are the Italians.
Since the beginning of January until the end of May 2012 there were 137,622 arrivals (who spend the night in Ljubljana and realized 266,423 nights), as compared with five months of 2011 means 9.3 percent more arrivals and 8.6 percent more nights.
In the first place after a visit and overnight stays are Italians, Germans are the second, the third after arrivals are Austrians, according to overnight stays are the British. Among the top ten are Japanese and Americans, they also have above-average length of stay (2,3).
Estimated, based on the daily recording of data on the number of overnight stays in Ljubljana accommodation facilities, the provisional July data on the number of overnight stays in Ljubljana is 121,470, up 16.7 percent over last July, when it was in Ljubljana 104,051 nights.
Assessment of overnight stays in Ljubljana, from January to July was 454,595, an increase of 7.4 percent over the first seven months of last year when it was 423,210 nights.
