“In Ribnica, all of the men keen on music gathered into a group, which played ‘scrap music’. The problem was that they didn’t have a drummer, which is why they invited me to the rehearsals. I stood in the middle of the room with a broom in my hand and beat out the rhythm!” is how master Adamič colourfully described his path to the world of music.
The life and music of master Bojan Adamič will be shown at the exhibition “A Broom for a Master”, with a reflection of the composer’s artistic activity and a display of the most important events that were turning points in his life. On display will be musical manuscripts, printed material and sound recordings preserved at the National and University Library in Ljubljana.
